Shipping/Receiving 2

Location: Buffalo Grove, Illinois, United States; on-site, 1st shift

Compensation: USD 19–20 per hour. The stated salary range for the location is USD 16.75–21.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Handle shipping and receiving of materials, supplies, equipment, and finished printed products.
• Check goods against shipping documents, pack products, prepare bills of lading, and record weights and shipping charges.
• Unload trucks, verify quantities and product information, and maintain receiving records and documentation.
• Operate forklifts, pallet handlers, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment to stage materials and load trucks.
• Coordinate shipping and receiving activities with customers, suppliers, customer service, production, and other departments.
• Inspect shipments, support safety and quality initiatives, assist with training and special projects, and occasionally drive a local delivery van.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of administrative or operational support experience in shipping or manufacturing operations.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to safely operate powered industrial vehicles.
• Knowledge of materials tracking, storage and retrieval, inventory control, reporting systems, computers, and software.
• Effective oral and written communication, organization, coordination, and basic math skills.
• Ability to regularly lift or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds, and occasionally more than 50 pounds.
