Director of Finance (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite at the hirify.global campus in Piedmont, South Carolina, USA. Occasional travel is expected.

What you will do

• Lead annual business planning, budget development, and execution for the VMVS division.
• Oversee financial activities, business systems, and IT operations across multiple locations.
• Analyze the profitability of customers, products, and markets and recommend profit improvement, cost reduction, and alliance strategies.
• Coordinate month-end close activities and provide leadership with detailed financial results, observations, and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain accounting controls, optimize financial processes and systems, and benchmark performance to improve return on capital employed.
• Partner with manufacturing on inventory management, costing, productivity analysis, and digital product integration to support gross-margin decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• At least ten years of financial or cost accounting experience.
• Advanced knowledge of business systems, Excel, charting, accounting, and lean financial processes.
• Ability to develop productivity measures, manage confidential information, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and produce accurate professional documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and organizational levels.
• Ability to work onsite at a hirify.global campus in Piedmont, South Carolina.

Nice to have

• Experience in a manufacturing or public accounting environment.
• CPA or CMA certification.
