Director, Manufacturing, Operations & Supply Chain Finance

Location: Devens, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid workplace with occasional travel to manufacturing facilities and supply chain locations.

What you will do

• Lead financial planning, reporting, cash-flow management, long-range planning, and KPI development for manufacturing and supply chain operations.
• Advise manufacturing and supply chain leadership on cost management, capital investments, sourcing, operational efficiency, and strategic decisions.
• Lead make-versus-buy, sourcing, and vertical integration analyses, including business cases, ROI/NPV evaluation, and post-investment reviews.
• Support production planning, inventory management, procurement strategies, COGS improvement, and margin optimization across multi-site operations.
• Own standard costing, cost roll-ups, unit-cost tracking, variance analysis, purchase price variance, absorption, yield, scrap, and capacity utilization reporting.
• Build scalable finance data, processes, reporting, and systems, including planning tools and ERP modules for manufacturing and cost reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressive finance experience focused on manufacturing and supply chain operations.
• Deep understanding of cost accounting mechanics and experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations.
• Experience leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing finance teams and building scalable processes in a high-growth organization.
• Ability to operate strategically and tactically in a matrixed organization.
• Ability to work in a facility with industrial hazards, including high voltage, high current, strong magnets, lead, pressure systems, and cryogenics; occasional nights, weekends, on-call work, or travel may be required.
