FMGT Business Analyst Tribe Financial Accounting

What you will do

• Understand product lifecycles and develop or maintain event-based accounting specifications for Financial Markets and Group Treasury products.
• Translate business requirements into Finance user requirements and high-quality accounting and IT solutions.
• Act as the Finance point of contact for front-to-end initiatives and coordinate activities across squads, tribes, and programs.
• Analyse data flows, assess data quality, and propose process improvements.
• Implement and maintain controls related to minimum accounting standards.
• Support functional, acceptance, and migration testing, IT implementation, and second-line functional support including daily end-of-day checks.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Accounting & Control, Business IT, Accountancy, or Economics.
• Approximately five years of experience in the financial industry, with strong expertise in Financial Markets products, product accounting concepts, and end-to-end banking processes.
• Experience gathering requirements, creating functional designs, maintaining event-based product accounting specifications, and participating in end-to-end testing with test-case creation.
• Knowledge and experience working with SQL.
• Strong analytical, communication, relationship-building, teamwork, and proactive problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of FMGT Front Office and Back Office systems such as Murex, Sophis, or Calypso.
• Interest in developing either a domain-specialist profile or a broader profile with managerial responsibilities.
