Shift Coordinator 1 (Manufacturing)

Location: Buffalo Grove, Illinois, United States; first shift; onsite, full-time role.

Salary: $18.80–$26.55 per hour, with potential overtime, shift differential, call-in, and standby pay.

What you will do

• Provide instruction and guidance to employees and audit work processes and products against production specifications.
• Inspect products and shipments, and review or approve production samples as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, policies, and procedures; report hazards and operational issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and coordinate production activities with managers and other departments.
• Maintain records, prepare standard reports, and perform routine clerical tasks.
• Coordinate or deliver training for new employees, contract workers, and guests on safety, quality, and production requirements.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a manufacturing or operations environment.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to apply policies, procedures, regulations, and program objectives consistently.
• Basic computer and software skills, including MS Office, word processing, and spreadsheets.
• Strong oral and written communication, organizational, prioritization, and deadline-management skills.
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and occasionally more than 50 pounds.
