Inland Empire Area Transportation Program Manager (Transportation)

Location: Riverside, California, United States; full-time, regular position.

Expected annual compensation: $186,000–$251,000, depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.

What you will do

• Develop client relationships, pursue new transportation projects, and support successful project delivery in the Inland Empire.
• Lead the regional client development team and implement marketing, recruiting, and business strategies to drive growth.
• Coordinate major pursuits from pre-positioning through proposals and interviews, assembling local and national hirify.global teams.
• Work with business-class and cross-sector leaders on staffing, work planning, employee retention, mentoring, and future-leader development.
• Manage activities across environmental, planning, engineering design, program management, and construction management disciplines.
• Participate in projects as a Project Manager or Principal-in-Charge within a Seller-Doer model.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, planning, sciences, business administration, or a closely related field.
• Program or project management experience meeting one of the stated requirements, including major programs with capital values of $200 million or more or multidisciplinary projects valued at $50 million or more.
• Strong leadership experience building cohesive teams and managing employees across multiple locations.
• Excellent communication skills, including presenting to client executives and large public audiences.
• Experience delivering projects or programs using design-build, progressive design-build, and/or construction management at-risk methods.
• Familiarity with PMIS, CMIS, scheduling, cost control, document management, risk management, asset management, and dashboard analytics tools.

Nice to have

• At least 15 years of program management, office management, or related experience.
• Program or project management experience in the Inland Empire; local candidates are preferred.
• Strong relationships with Caltrans District 8, RCTC, SBCTA, CVAG, SBCOG, Metrolink, and municipalities in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
• Participation in ACEC, APWA, ASCE, WTS, or a similar industry organization.
• High emotional intelligence and experience mentoring and developing staff.
