Program Manager (Rail/Transit)

Salary: $189,700–$284,500 annually

What you will do

• Identify and pursue rail and transit projects with sector leaders and management.
• Prepare proposals and maintain client communication, expectations, and satisfaction.
• Manage program finances, staffing, scope, schedules, deliverables, and contract modifications.
• Lead planning, design, and construction activities for significant rail-related projects.
• Track project quality and ensure QA/QC processes are completed.
• Supervise, coach, and support the development and training of project management staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely related field.
• State Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification.
• 15+ years of project management experience, including management of construction field teams.
• Construction management experience with agency clients such as MTA, New York City Transit, Metro-North Railroad, NJ Transit, or Long Island Rail Road.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with a client-focused approach.
• Demonstrated integrity, innovation, collaboration, and experience working in diverse and inclusive teams.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Project Management Procedures (PMPs) and Project Management Guidelines (PMGs).
