Rail Engineering Program Director

Location: Seattle, WA 98104; hybrid work with occasional travel to headquarters, field offices, client offices, work sites, and other project locations.

Salary: $220,000–$350,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead a technical engineering discipline and guide extensive programs and activities of major consequence.
• Provide advisory and consulting services across broad program areas or specialized engineering domains.
• Lead project meetings, deliver presentations, and communicate with senior engineers and organizational officers.
• Represent the organization and maintain liaison with clients, related organizations, professional bodies, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in important functions, conferences, and media interviews when required.
• Uphold company policies, applicable laws, integrity, accountability, respect, and inclusive workplace standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC-accredited program.
• 20+ years of prior experience.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards and guidelines.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including the ability to negotiate critical and controversial issues.
• Proficiency with email, text communication, and standard office applications including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement in Seattle and travel to project-related locations as required.

• Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
