Senior Rail Engineer: Program Manager (Rail Engineering)

Salary: $160,000–$225,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead major rail and transit programs with advanced technical and organizational complexity.
• Drive business development, sales, and pre-marketing for program management services across the Pacific Northwest and West Coast.
• Oversee project delivery and the technical, legal, and financial aspects of entire programs.
• Build, develop, and empower a local engineering team while supervising multiple organizational segments.
• Establish program objectives, requirements, standards, and implementation guidelines.
• Develop client relationships and collaborate with office teams to support business growth and client satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET/EAC-accredited program.
• 15+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years as a program manager.
• Established relationships with railroad clients and strong business development skills.
• In-depth knowledge of rail industry standards and guidelines.
• Professional Engineer (PE) credential, equivalent qualification, or CLPO authorization.
• Strong oral and written communication, persuasion, negotiation, and Microsoft Office skills.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Membership or leadership in a professional practice organization or national board.
• Recognition as a statewide or national industry expert.
