Application Engineer Refrigeration (HVACR)

What you will do

• Provide technical application support to customers, distributors, contractors, and OEMs.
• Help customers select products, calculate heat loads, size refrigerant lines, and choose electrical switchgear using technical software.
• Maintain technical libraries and support the creation of catalogs, engineering bulletins, user manuals, and competitive cross-reference documents.
• Lead new business opportunities for refrigeration products in the MEA region in collaboration with Sales.
• Develop training calendars and materials, deliver hands-on training on controllers and compressor protections, and coordinate training-center resources.
• Manage warranty claims, troubleshoot production and field failures, conduct root cause analysis, and collaborate with manufacturing plants on product improvements.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
• 8–10 years of experience in HVACR design, projects, service, technical support, or training.
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, refrigeration systems, and controls.
• Technical expertise in troubleshooting and application support, with competence in Microsoft Office and technical software tools.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working across multicultural teams.
• Willingness to travel across Africa and work outside typical office environments when required.
