Commercial HVAC Service Technician

Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States; Pittsburgh area service territory. New-hire training includes a one-week course at the R&D facility in Pennsylvania, and travel is required.

Salary: $60,000–$75,000 per year based on experience, plus a $2,000 signing bonus, monthly productivity and profit bonus, and potential overtime.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, service, and repair commercial HVAC/R systems.
• Develop and perform preventive maintenance for commercial mechanical systems.
• Commission hirify.global equipment by testing airflow, installations, product functions, and equipment performance.
• Read electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose system issues.
• Communicate system status, repairs, and maintenance recommendations to facility managers, property owners, and colleagues.
• Follow EPA regulations and company safety standards while working on ladders, roofs, and in varied weather conditions.

Requirements

• At least two years of hands-on experience servicing commercial HVAC systems or related experience.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong understanding of single- and three-phase electrical systems, commercial wiring schematics, and refrigeration cycles.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and work in tight spaces, on ladders, and on roofs.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, attention-to-detail, and safety skills.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available. Employment requires a satisfactory background check and negative drug screen.
