Senior Buyer (Electronics Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Manage strategic suppliers and assigned commodity groups to ensure continuity, cost competitiveness, quality, and delivery performance.
• Run the end-to-end procurement process, including quotations, negotiations, purchase orders, contracts, order management, and supplier reviews.
• Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and other stakeholders to support production and customer demand.
• Lead value engineering, cost reduction, corrective action, and supplier improvement initiatives.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks involving capacity, sole-source suppliers, product lifecycles, and geopolitical factors.
• Manage supplier-related Engineering Change Notices, maintain ERP purchasing data, and support inventory and forecast planning.

Requirements

• Proven purchasing experience with electronic components, PCBAs, and electro-mechanical products in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, inventory management, and supply chain planning.
• Excellent commercial awareness, negotiation, data analysis, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience developing long-term supplier relationships and delivering cost reduction or supplier improvement projects.
• Understanding of supplier quality processes, engineering change management, ISO9001, ISO14001, and health and safety requirements.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

Nice to have

• CIPS Level 4 or above qualification.
• Additional experience in electronics manufacturing.
