Focus on assisting with oncology care, maintaining treatment-room protocols, coordinating patient calls and schedules, and meeting senior-level medical assistant requirements.

Location: Bedford, Texas, United States; Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. onsite clinic schedule.

What you will do

  • Assist physicians and clinicians with patient care, examinations, and clinical procedures.
  • Escort patients and record vital signs, height, weight, allergies, medication changes, and other visit data.
  • Obtain patient records, prepare and stock examination and treatment rooms, and order supplies.
  • Administer delegated subcutaneous and intramuscular injections.
  • Maintain room disinfection protocols and support patient flow in the oncology clinic.
  • Handle patient calls, referrals, prescriptions, scheduling updates, chart preparation, reception, filing, and other clerical duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least five years of medical assistant or nursing assistant experience in a hospital or clinic setting.
  • Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program is preferred; Certified Medical Assistant certification is preferred.
  • Current CPR certification is required. Current BCLS certification is required within three months of hire.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, handle and lift patients, and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work in an oncology/hematology clinic environment with potential exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and medical preparations.

  • Phlebotomy experience.
