Power Systems Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Menlo Park, California, United States; onsite full-time

What you will do

• Model motors, solar cells, batteries, and other power system components under varying environmental, power, aging, and manufacturing conditions.
• Perform and support trade studies for aircraft power system designs.
• Translate subsystem requirements into focused analysis projects and tests.
• Analyze test data, communicate findings, and update models based on results.
• Support multidisciplinary analysis and new product development activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience with multidisciplinary modeling or analysis projects.
• Demonstrated physics-based analysis experience applied to power systems, including electrical, solar, or battery systems.
• Experience cascading system requirements to subsystem and component levels and verifying completion.
• Hands-on experience with new product development.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.

Nice to have

• Aerospace experience.
• Experience with modeling tools such as Python or MATLAB.
