TL;DR
System Performance Engineer (Aerospace): Assessing, tracking, and reporting overall performance of Axiom EVA spacesuits with an accent on mass, power consumption, test-data analysis, and systems engineering. Focus on developing Python tooling, maturing technical performance metrics, integrating analysis products for NASA delivery, and building performance dashboards.

Location: Houston, United States. The role is generally office-based and may involve indoor or outdoor work depending on the task.

What you will do

  • Implement integrated system performance metrics for the Axiom EVA program.
  • Identify, track, and mature technical performance metrics for spacesuit systems, including mass and power consumption.
  • Manage, organize, and analyze test data to inform system performance assessments.
  • Develop Python-based analysis tooling and maintain performance dashboards and data visualization tools.
  • Collaborate across the organization and coordinate analysis products for NASA delivery.
  • Report project progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership while applying agile project management practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field; ABET accreditation is preferred.
  • 2–16 years of experience depending on the selected level, with Level II–V options advertised.
  • Experience with Python and SQL for managing, organizing, and querying large volumes of data.
  • Experience in engineering analysis, systems engineering, space flight system development, design trades, and performance assessments.
  • Ability to present technical data to technical and non-technical audiences and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Eligibility for access to export-controlled technical data may require additional U.S. export control screening under NASA, ITAR, or EAR regulations. Evening and weekend work may be required during critical project milestones.
