Lead Systems Engineer (Avionics)

What you will do

• Design and implement a new surface alerting safety function through introduction and certification.
• Develop system-level architectures, specifications, and validated requirements.
• Create system test procedures and scripts, execute tests, and analyze results.
• Support flight testing and analyze flight-test results.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, project, program management, customer support, customer, and supplier teams.
• Maintain and improve engineering processes and support the design, testing, and maintenance of avionics products.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 9 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, or at least 7 years with a graduate degree; avionics experience is preferred.
• Experience writing system requirements and system validation procedures.
• Extensive systems engineering experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and Python.
• Knowledge of ARP-4754A and DO-178 processes.
• Experience with avionics products such as ACAS, TCAS, ADS-B, or SURF-A.

Nice to have

• Programming experience in C or C++.
• Knowledge of ACAS or ADS-B functionality and related applications.
• Experience leading teams through conflict, building consensus, and coordinating across multiple functions.
• Strong customer-facing, communication, initiative, and self-management skills.
