Senior Professional Engineer / Project Manager, Civil - Site Design

Location: Seattle, Washington; hybrid schedule with Tuesday–Thursday in the office and Monday–Friday working from home

What you will do

• Lead multidisciplinary civil engineering project teams from concept development through construction.
• Manage site development projects involving site layouts, grading, roadways, utilities, access, stormwater, and permitting.
• Coordinate civil design and construction activities with other disciplines, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Develop proposals, negotiate project contracts, prepare technical reports, lead meetings, and deliver client presentations.
• Build client relationships and support new project opportunities through a seller-doer approach.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers while maintaining design standards and quality control.

Requirements

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington or the ability to obtain Washington licensure through reciprocity.
• 10+ years of progressive technical design experience with site development projects.
• At least five years of successful project management experience.
• At least two years of business development experience with a record of securing new project opportunities.
• Experience with regulatory agencies and permit applications involving local jurisdictions, WSDOT, transit agencies, FEMA, Ecology, and state and local governments.
• Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record; limited overnight travel may be required.

Nice to have

• Professional registrations or eligibility for registration in California, Minnesota, Illinois, or Wisconsin.
• Site design and project management experience for commercial, industrial, transit, transportation, public-sector, or renewable energy projects.
• Experience supporting Sound Transit, King County Metro, Community Transit, WSDOT, or local municipalities.
