Press Operator 2 - 3rd Shift

Location: Quakertown, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite, full-time, third shift Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.

Salary: $20.19–$33.78 per hour, plus a $3 per hour third-shift premium. A $2,000 sign-on bonus may be available to new hires.

What you will do

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain multiple types of press equipment.
• Complete make-ready tasks, including installing plates or cylinders, preparing blankets, and adjusting tension and register.
• Inspect plates and cylinders and verify image positioning before production.
• Make color corrections and press adjustments to meet print quality specifications.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain presses, including minor repairs and replacement of worn or broken parts.
• Perform manufacturer-recommended periodic maintenance.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, specifications, equipment, and safety requirements.
• Ability to read job specifications and determine appropriate press settings, equipment, and materials.
• Ability to make precise control settings and adjustments during press operation.
• Experience with routine equipment maintenance and minor repairs.
• Knowledge of packing pressure required for different printing jobs.
• Ability to use a micrometer to mount and align printing plates correctly.
