Die Cutter/Bindery Operator - 2nd Shift

Location: Des Plaines, Illinois, United States; onsite, 2nd shift Monday–Friday, 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.

Salary: $22.00–$25.00 per hour, plus eligibility for commission or an annual performance incentive plan.

What you will do

• Operate multi-color sheet-fed or continuous/web presses and high-speed single-color presses for custom and base forms.
• Set up presses efficiently by loading stock, configuring the paper path, mounting plates, mixing PMS ink, and registering dies.
• Adjust ink and water balance, color matching, multi-color register, perforations, numbering, file holes, and other press attributes.
• Interpret order instructions and run products to required specifications for density, color, size, construction, and quality.
• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and perform equipment adjustments, blanket changes, wash-ups, water-system cleaning, and roller-setting changes.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school education preferred.
• One year of printing experience preferred.
• Ability to perform manual press setups and changeovers.
• Ability to troubleshoot and adjust printing equipment.
