Firmware Program Management (BIOS/EC)

What you will do

• Oversee the preparation and creation of instructional technical manuscripts for firmware operation.
• Allocate resources and create detailed plans for firmware programming projects.
• Lead multiple internal and outsourced engineering teams through the design and development of complex firmware products and platforms.
• Manage development-partner relationships and review designs for compliance, product quality, and failure-risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams to define communication protocols, system states, and feature requirements.
• Drive new technology integration and mentor less-experienced firmware engineers.

Requirements

• Four-year or graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated competence.
• Typically 7–10 years of experience, preferably in firmware development or a related field.
• Experience with CI/CD and Agile or an equivalent modern development method.
• Experience with software and firmware architecture and interaction with hardware, software, and operating-system designs.
• Knowledge of firmware development, embedded software, embedded systems, software engineering, computer engineering, debugging, and new product development.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, program-planning, and negotiation skills.
