Senior Product Engineer (Electrical Engineering & Embedded Systems)

What you will do

• Support product transfers into manufacturing, new product introduction, production ramp-up, and sustaining activities.
• Integrate, program, verify, and diagnose embedded systems across hardware, firmware, software, communication interfaces, and manufacturing processes.
• Develop embedded systems, electrical designs, schematics, and PCB layouts for current and new products.
• Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage component lifecycles, engineering changes, BOMs, suppliers, and PCBA fabrication and testing activities, including ICT and FCT.
• Coordinate design reviews, risk assessments, operational readiness reviews, prototype validation, and cross-functional technical discussions while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture, microcontrollers, peripheral interfaces, and protocols including I²C, SPI, UART, USB, and Ethernet.
• Hands-on experience with embedded-system bring-up, programming, debugging, hardware-firmware troubleshooting, circuit theory, and analog/digital electronics.
• Knowledge of PCBA design and manufacturing, ICT/FCT, Altium Designer or similar PCB design tools, EMC/EMI design, and countermeasures.
• Experience with FMEA, 5 Whys, 8D, DOE, statistical engineering, BOM structuring, and engineering change management.
• Hands-on FPGA programming experience with VHDL or Verilog and exposure to high-performance computing for data-intensive applications.
• Ability to lead technical discussions, collaborate with manufacturing and service organizations, manage multiple priorities, and mentor junior engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience with LabView, Python, Visual Basic, SAP, and PLM systems.
• Experience in FDA-regulated product development and life sciences or biotechnology industries.
