What you will do

  • Develop, prototype, and refine servo-channel algorithms based on engineering requirements and measured signal behavior.
  • Implement embedded software modules in C for Arm and RISC-V processors, along with supporting Python analysis tools and scripts.
  • Write, maintain, and execute test scripts for algorithm behavior, firmware interfaces, and regression validation.
  • Analyze test data, debug failures, and communicate findings to the engineering team.
  • Collaborate with firmware and systems engineers on hardware constraints, timing, memory use, and integration.
  • Document designs, test procedures, limitations, and verification results while participating in code reviews and automation improvements.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Programming experience in C for embedded software, firmware, microcontrollers, drivers, or other low-level projects.
  • Scripting experience in Python, MATLAB, or a similar language for testing, data analysis, or automation.
  • Basic understanding of digital signal processing, including sampling, filtering, modulation/demodulation, FFTs, or noise analysis.
  • Familiarity with unit testing, test cases, regression testing, result logging, and translating technical requirements into code and tests.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, work collaboratively, learn independently, and document work for reproducibility.
