Senior Software Engineer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Troubleshoot complex customer and application issues across the software stack.
• Handle escalated support cases and deliver workarounds, permanent fixes, and corrective actions.
• Debug Java and Spring Boot applications, microservices, REST APIs, Oracle databases, Linux environments, and Kafka integrations.
• Analyze logs, stack traces, system metrics, database queries, and network traces to identify root causes.
• Design, develop, test, and implement solutions that improve performance, reliability, security, networking, and data streaming.
• Create troubleshooting automation, technical documentation, RCA reports, guides, and knowledge-base articles while collaborating with engineering, support, DevOps, cybersecurity, networking, cloud, and data teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in software development, application troubleshooting, debugging, and L3 or sustenance engineering.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, Linux, Oracle, SQL, and Apache Kafka.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, firewalls, proxies, and VPNs.
• Experience with Kafka producers, consumers, topics, partitions, brokers, offsets, consumer groups, and consumer lag.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, SDLC, Agile, distributed systems, data-streaming, and RCA skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with SaaS, cloud security, enterprise, or platform products.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, MCP integrations, AI agents, agent orchestration, RAG pipelines, and LLM-based automation.
• Experience with Python, Bash, AWS, Azure, VMware NSX, SDN, Apache Storm, or Apache Flink.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow, JIRA Service Management, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, observability, logging, and APM tools.
• Cybersecurity, networking, Java, or Kafka certifications.
