Software Development Engineer (Java)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance distributed applications.
• Build scalable microservices with Java, Spring Boot, and JDK 17 or newer.
• Develop and optimize REST APIs and backend services for high availability and scalability.
• Participate in technical design, architecture discussions, code reviews, and Agile events.
• Monitor and troubleshoot application, container, and Kubernetes layers, including production incidents.
• Work with Apache Kafka and other messaging or streaming technologies, while mentoring team members and supporting continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on software development experience with Java.
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, distributed systems, performance tuning, and fault tolerance.
• Experience with cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with Apache Kafka, NoSQL data modeling using Couchbase or similar technologies, containers, and Kubernetes.
• Comfort supporting production environments and participating in on-call rotations when needed.
• Experience with Agile methodologies; Scrum Master experience is a plus.
