TL;DR
Assurance Sr Manager - Construction/Gov Con (Construction): Leading audits and client advisory engagements for construction companies, contractors, homebuilders, and real estate developers with an accent on construction accounting, risk assessment, financial reporting, and team leadership. Focus on managing multiple engagements, evaluating revenue recognition and backlog, resolving technical accounting matters, and developing profitable client relationships.

Location: Dallas, United States; full-time on-site role. Travel up to 25% of the year may be required depending on client needs.

Salary: $119,100–$239,300 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

  • Lead audits of financial statements, disclosures, management letters, and other client deliverables.
  • Assess engagement risks, design audit procedures, and apply hirify.global’s audit methodology.
  • Manage multiple engagements, project milestones, resources, profitability, and client communications.
  • Review work prepared by Senior Associates, Supervisors, and Managers, provide coaching, and report on performance.
  • Identify technical accounting matters, coordinate with specialists, and provide business advice to construction-sector clients.
  • Develop client relationships, support business growth, and contribute to training and career development initiatives.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in Accounting or an equivalent qualification.
  • CPA or CA certification.
  • At least 9 years of current or recent experience in public accounting.
  • Previous audit experience with construction and related organizations.
  • Experience directing teams across multiple simultaneous engagements.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, FASB regulations, construction accounting, revenue recognition, estimating, overhead allocation, and backlog.

Nice to have

  • Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP) certification.
  • Background in development.
