Maintenance Team Leader (Airport Maintenance)

Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States; onsite at Fort Lauderdale International Airport

What you will do

• Coordinate daily maintenance operations, work orders, safety practices, productivity, and materials logistics.
• Perform hands-on maintenance work alongside technicians.
• Provide coaching, direct support, and on-the-job training to improve technician performance.
• Lead safety initiatives, including new-hire safety training and quality-control inspections.
• Partner with operational managers to monitor performance metrics and identify continuous-improvement opportunities.
• Develop processes and documentation that improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• At least 3 years of maintenance experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required airport security clearance.
• Availability to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work outdoors around aircraft, in varying weather conditions, and in confined spaces; regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of airport maintenance services experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
