Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Location: Onsite in Winchester, Virginia, United States; Monday–Friday, full-time

Salary: $26.53–$32.42 per hour

What you will do

• Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, processing, preparation, and coordination for reference laboratory testing.
• Conduct moderate-complexity diagnostic testing in hematology, chemistry, immunology, and related areas.
• Analyze and verify results, investigate discrepancies, and take corrective action when needed.
• Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Complete quality control and proficiency testing while maintaining accurate laboratory documentation and patient records.
• Maintain inventory, prepare reagents, protect patient confidentiality, and ensure compliance with CLIA, OSHA, safety, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology is required.
• Clinical laboratory experience performing patient testing; three or more years is preferred.
• Experience with hematology and chemistry testing is preferred.
• Experience with quality control, instrument maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and phlebotomy is preferred.
• Ability to work onsite in Winchester, Virginia, Monday through Friday, and meet the physical requirements of laboratory work, including occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds.

Nice to have

• AMT, ASCP, or equivalent certification.
• Experience in a high-volume outpatient or oncology laboratory.
