Principal Analog Engineer (Power Management IC)

Location: San Jose, California, United States; onsite with no remote work available

Annual pay range: $208,500–$260,700, with eligibility for bonus opportunities and commission pay.

What you will do

• Explore, define, and evaluate power management IC architectures.
• Follow and drive industry standardization related to PMIC design.
• Bridge PMIC development across cross-functional engineering teams.
• Support design documentation, silicon evaluation, circuit debugging, and production test development.
• Provide customer and applications support and help specify technology requirements for future products.

Requirements

• 15+ years of relevant experience with a BSEE, or 10+ years of relevant industry experience with an MSEE or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Power Electronics.
• Proven experience designing power management circuits, including switching regulators, LDOs, fast-response DCDC converters, and switched-capacitor converters.
• Strong experience in high-precision analog IC design, including amplifiers, comparators, regulators, oscillators, and references.
• Solid understanding of CMOS and BCD process technologies and circuit design.
• Proficiency with Cadence, Matlab, office software, and mixed-signal simulation in the Cadence AMS environment.
• Experience with laboratory evaluation, industry standardization, power electronics applications, technical documentation, communication, and teamwork.
