Technical Staff Engineer-Design (AI)

Location: San Jose, California, United States

Annual base salary: $91,000–$232,000, plus restricted stock units and quarterly bonuses.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and integrate analog circuit blocks for Flash-IP and memBrain IP.
• Work on SuperFlash-based analog compute-in-memory technology for vector-matrix multiplication and low-power AI inference.
• Simulate and validate analog circuit blocks and Flash-IP macros against performance, quality, and reliability requirements.
• Lead analog design activities across architecture definition, circuit implementation, and product validation.
• Coordinate with design, technology, process, and testing engineers to deliver projects.
• Interface with marketing teams and customers on embedded flash memory macro requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years of analog design experience.
• Experience with non-volatile memory design, including high-voltage circuits, charge pumps, references, sensing, and read circuits.
• Experience with silicon validation, debugging, and testing.
• Experience with CAD design flows and tools such as HSPICE, FINESIM, Verilog, Cadence Design Entry, LPE, and EMIR.
• Ability to solve complex problems creatively and collaborate in cross-functional teams.
• Travel requirement: 0%–25%; physical work includes primarily sitting, with standing and walking.

Nice to have

• Experience with DAC and ADC data-conversion circuits.
• Experience with PLL, DLL, LVDS, high-speed interfaces, LDOs, digital LDOs, bandgaps, and bias circuits.
• Knowledge of Python or Tcl scripting and semiconductor device physics.
• Knowledge of MLP, CNN, or Transformer neural networks and PTQ or HAT for hardware implementation.
• Experience adopting AI tools.
