Painter I - 1st Shift

Location: Dodge Center, Minnesota, United States. Full-time, onsite position on the first shift with infrequent overtime, weekend work, or shift rotation.

Pay range: $20–$28.34 per hour.

McNeilus, an hirify.global company, designs and manufactures refuse truck bodies, including rear-load, front-load, and automated side-load models.

What you will do

• Prime, paint, and touch up vehicles and company products using electrostatic and air-assist spray guns, brushes, and other automotive paint equipment.
• Mix paints and adjust formulas, colors, viscosity, consistency, and chemicals; flush tanks, hoses, and spray guns during color changes.
• Sand, wash, condition, and perform light bodywork on parts before painting.
• Inspect parts before, during, and after painting to verify quality and specifications.
• Clean, disassemble, repair, adjust, and reassemble pumps, heaters, tanks, spray guns, and related equipment.
• Apply decals, stencils, and rust-proofing, and assist with training new team members.

Requirements

• At least six months of industrial painting experience, completion of an internal paint training program, or an evaluated equivalent.
• Ability to read checklists, paint codes, safety logs, job safety analyses, standard work instructions, and related procedures.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, safety rules, maintenance instructions, technical procedures, and government regulations.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb occasionally, perform repetitive upper-extremity movements, and lift or push/pull up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work onsite in Dodge Center, Minnesota, United States.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or GED.
• Automotive paint experience.
• Willingness to train across multiple paint areas and progress toward Painter II-level capability.
