TL;DR
Project Controls Manager (Infrastructure/Transportation): Supporting capital and infrastructure projects by maintaining, analyzing, and reporting scope, schedule, budget, cost, and risk information with an accent on project controls procedures, variance management, and decision-ready reporting. Focus on establishing schedules and forecasts, tracking cost and schedule impacts, enforcing change controls, and coordinating with designers, contractors, clients, and project teams.

Location: Lexington, Kentucky, United States. Full-time, regular position; willingness to travel when required.

What you will do

  • Support project and program managers with project cost, schedule, scope, budget, and risk controls.
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve scope and pricing variances with designers, contractors, inspectors, and third-party entities.
  • Establish and enforce procedures for reporting, reconciling variances, change management, and records management.
  • Develop project schedules, forecasts, cost-control procedures, and key performance indicators.
  • Review project change documentation for compliance with procedures and contract specifications.
  • Lead coordination meetings and provide transparent reports for project staff, program staff, and clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, engineering management, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of project controls experience on engineering and construction projects, including estimating, forecasting, scheduling, cost control, schedule control, and project reporting.
  • Experience supporting capital or infrastructure projects and managing proposal preparation, contract review, negotiation, client relationships, and win strategies for medium to large EPC projects.
  • Working-level proficiency with Primavera P6, strong Microsoft Office skills, and experience with document controls.
  • Strong decision-making, analytical, organizational, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • US employment authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

  • Experience with PMIS software such as eBuilder, Procore, Quickbase, InEight, Kahua, or PMWeb.
  • Experience with DBB, design-build, EPCm, progressive design-build, IPD, or CMAR delivery methods.
  • Experience accounting for facility access restrictions, work windows, phasing requirements, operational constraints, and regulatory impacts.
