Senior Project Controls Specialist (Infrastructure)

Location: Vermont Avenue, Washington, District of Columbia; Fairfax, VA / Washington, DC region offices

Salary: $128,067.17–$146,362.48 per year

What you will do

• Lead project controls activities for large, complex, and multi-dimensional programs.
• Oversee project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, variance analysis, and estimate-at-completion assessments.
• Develop, review, and maintain integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar CPM tools.
• Lead change reviews and analyze scope, cost, schedule, risk, and delay impacts.
• Prepare executive-level reports, dashboards, and briefings for leadership and clients.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to project controls specialists and junior staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Controls, or a related discipline.
• 8–12+ years of progressive project controls experience supporting large-scale infrastructure, transportation, or capital programs.
• Strong expertise in cost control, forecasting, schedule management, and change control.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, advanced Microsoft Excel, and project controls reporting tools.
• Experience with PMIS platforms such as e-Builder, Kahua, Unifier, or similar systems.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting public-sector or transportation clients in the Mid-Atlantic region.
• AACE certifications such as PSP or CCP, or equivalent professional credentials.
• Experience leading project controls for multi-year or multi-project programs.
• Strong presentation skills and confidence engaging with senior client stakeholders.
