Enterprise Applications Architect

Location: Mettawa, Illinois, United States; onsite

Salary: $132,500–$196,000 annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Design architecture blueprints for ERP, CRM, SaaS, packaged, mobile, web, and legacy custom applications.
• Map business capabilities across financial management, customer engagement, supply chain, HR, and other domains to enterprise applications.
• Define integration strategies using APIs, event-driven integration, middleware, service orchestration, and service-oriented architectures.
• Govern API lifecycle management, versioning, documentation, developer enablement, and integration reference architectures.
• Lead legacy application modernization, cloud migrations, enterprise application upgrades, and reduction of point-to-point dependencies.
• Partner with business leaders, vendors, architects, and technical teams to select platforms, mitigate risks, optimize performance, and address technical debt.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in enterprise application architecture or related roles, including large-scale modernization or digital transformation initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow, or comparable packaged enterprise platforms.
• Strong proficiency in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud and hybrid environments.
• Expertise in APIs, ESB, microservices, data modeling, database design, data governance, and cybersecurity principles.
• Experience mentoring technical teams, influencing stakeholders, and applying Agile and DevOps methodologies.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Familiarity with TOGAF, Zachman, business process modeling, GDPR, HIPAA, AI/ML, IoT, or blockchain.
