What you will do

• Lead the development, maintenance, governance, and continuous improvement of the Enterprise Architecture program.
• Define architecture principles, standards, reusable services, governance processes, and supporting documentation.
• Maintain inventories of enterprise capabilities, applications, integrations, data flows, and technology platforms.
• Own a 3–5-year technology roadmap covering modernization opportunities, technical debt, risks, consolidation, and strategic investments.
• Lead architecture reviews and advise on cloud adoption, hybrid architecture, infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
• Communicate architecture strategy to executive leaders, product owners, technical teams, scientific stakeholders, and governance forums.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or six years of relevant experience in lieu of the degree.
• At least five years of experience in Enterprise Architecture within complex IT environments.
• Experience developing Enterprise Architecture programs using TOGAF or an equivalent methodology.
• Experience with enterprise roadmaps, architecture standards, governance, modernization strategies, ERP and operational applications, data warehouses, BI, integrations, and cloud architecture.
• Working knowledge of networking, virtualization, containers, data storage, cybersecurity, risk management, and NIST 800-53 or related federal security standards.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAFe, scientific or federally funded research environments, and hybrid or cloud-native architectures on Azure or other enterprise platforms.
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint, IBM Maximo, IBM Planning & Analytics, Cority, Cornerstone, or OnBase.
• Experience with AI/ML infrastructure, modern data platforms, or advanced research computing environments.
• CISSP, TOGAF, or another Enterprise Architecture certification.
