Principal Enterprise Architect (AI)

Location: Holmdel, United States. The role is performed onsite. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Salary: $178,690–$293,560 per year, plus potential incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Support the evolution of enterprise architecture strategy, principles, standards, governance, and target-state roadmaps.
• Define architecture perspectives across business, applications, data, integration, cloud, platforms, security, and AI.
• Lead architecture for strategic initiatives, modernization programs, and enterprise-impacting technology decisions.
• Evaluate buy, build, reuse, partner, and retire options while balancing business value, cost, risk, resilience, and maintainability.
• Partner with domain architects, engineering, platform, security, data, AI, infrastructure, and business technology leaders.
• Mentor architects and senior technology professionals and contribute to architecture capability development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, domain architecture, or senior technology strategy.
• Broad expertise across applications, integration, data, AI, cloud, security, and platform strategy.
• Experience with architecture governance, standards development, target-state planning, and strategic technology decisions.
• Ability to influence across organizational boundaries, communicate with executive and technical audiences, and lead through ambiguity.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience in insurance, financial services, healthcare, or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience with cloud modernization, API strategies, platform engineering, data ecosystems, and enterprise integration.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled enterprise capabilities, automation, and emerging technologies.
• Advanced degree or certifications such as TOGAF, SAFe, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
