Complex Adult Health Clinical Faculty (Part-Time)

Location: San Antonio, Texas, United States. Clinical teaching takes place at partner healthcare sites and is typically scheduled for at least one weekday, weeknight, or weekend during an 8-week session.

Compensation: $1,120–$7,245 per assignment, depending on education and experience.

What you will do

• Teach Complex Adult Health/Medical-Surgical Nursing clinical content in the BSN program.
• Plan clinical experiences and directly supervise students delivering nursing care.
• Evaluate student performance against course objectives and provide documented feedback.
• Provide remediation and maintain communication about student or clinical agency concerns.
• Prepare clinical assignments, grade coursework, and maintain knowledge of partner-site policies.
• Support didactic teaching under the supervision of the course coordinator when needed.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
• Unencumbered professional nursing license in Texas required.
• At least two years of recent professional registered-nurse experience within the last five years in the area of instruction.
• Strong subject-matter expertise and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for nursing education, lifelong learning, and supporting students and colleagues.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required by certain clinical partner sites.
