Electronics Manufacturing Engineering Technician

Location: St Cloud, Florida, United States; Workplace: Onsite; relocation is not offered.

Salary: $70,600–$101,800 annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Define manufacturing processes for new products and improve existing processes in accordance with IPC industry standards.
• Support electronics production involving SMT and through-hole assembly, conformal coating, encapsulation, final assembly, and testing.
• Investigate and resolve quality issues while supporting product launches and conformance to specifications.
• Create and revise process flows, PFMEAs, control plans, operator work instructions, and related manufacturing documentation.
• Support design validation builds, process validation builds, and start of production.
• Assist with production equipment selection, fixture design, supplier file reviews, and training for production trainers.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in engineering or a related technical field; electrical or electronics engineering is preferred.
• 5+ years of electrical or electronics manufacturing engineering experience in a manufacturing facility, including firsthand responsibility for new product introduction of electronic assemblies.
• Experience creating work instructions, process flows, PFMEAs, control plans, and other new-product-launch documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electronic schematic diagrams, and knowledge of electronic assembly manufacturing processes.
• Personal knowledge of IPC standards and their application to electronics manufacturing.
• Excellent, fluent written and verbal English communication skills; applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and tools or L.S.S.
• Experience with potting and conformal coating.
• Experience in an ISO 9001-compliant organization.
• LSS Green Belt certification.
