Inspector - Aviation (Airport Construction)

What you will do

• Inspect structural, architectural, and finishing works for airport terminals, aviation buildings, and support facilities.
• Verify construction against approved designs, material specifications, FAA, ICAO, IBC, NFPA, and local building codes.
• Monitor concrete, steel structures, roofing, glazing, flooring, ceilings, partitions, and fireproofing.
• Witness testing and commissioning of HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Identify defects, safety hazards, and non-conformities, recommend corrective actions, and support risk mitigation.
• Maintain inspection logs, progress reports, and NCRs while coordinating with contractors, engineers, architects, and airport authorities.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architecture, or construction management.
• At least 5 years of experience in building inspection, construction supervision, or quality control.
• Knowledge of structural, architectural, and finishing works in airport environments.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office, and inspection reporting tools.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Austin, Texas, in a high-pressure environment with strict timelines; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Construction Quality Control, LEED, or OSHA certification.
• Familiarity with airport construction standards and regulations.
• Previous aviation project experience.
