Clinic Float RN Sr. - Dallas Presbyterian (Oncology)

Location: Dallas, Texas; full-time onsite clinic work, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. No weekends, on-call shifts, or major holidays.

What you will do

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of patient care.
• Assess patients’ health status, medical history, and psychosocial needs.
• Provide patient and family education, instructional materials, and psychosocial support.
• Manage medication refill requests, triage patient calls, and document information in patient charts.
• Schedule consultations, pre-testing, diagnostic procedures, referrals, and follow-up appointments.
• Coordinate communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams while supporting LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited professional nursing education program; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license and registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and ongoing continuing education.
• Senior level: minimum five years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology strongly preferred.
• Ability to work in an oncology/hematology clinic environment with potential exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and medical preparations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, handle and lift patients, and occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds.

Nice to have

• Oncology experience and oncology certification.
• BSN qualification.
