Product Manager (Data)

Location: Chicago, Illinois; hybrid. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary: $118,000–$160,000 annually if located in Illinois, plus bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits.

What you will do

• Own execution of the roadmap for an assigned enterprise business data domain.
• Lead product discovery, define solutions, manage backlogs, write user stories and acceptance criteria, and support sprint planning.
• Coordinate delivery across business, engineering, architecture, analytics, governance, and operational teams.
• Lead testing, release planning, continuous improvement, and adoption of delivered data products.
• Drive data quality, metadata, governance, stewardship, reporting, analytics, and AI-readiness initiatives.
• Manage stakeholder alignment, risks, dependencies, blockers, and delivery outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience in business, information systems, computer science, data analytics, finance, engineering, communications, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in product ownership, product management, business analysis, data management, analytics, data governance, reporting, business intelligence, or related disciplines.
• Experience owning complex data, reporting, analytics, or business intelligence initiatives and translating business needs into actionable requirements.
• Ability to model business processes, prioritize competing needs, manage delivery risks, and drive execution across cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of data quality, data governance, metadata, master data, reporting, analytics, and data lifecycle management.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.

Nice to have

• Experience in legal, professional services, financial services, consulting, healthcare, insurance, or another regulated or data-intensive environment.
• Experience with Client, Matter, Financial, CRM, ERP, master data management, or similar enterprise business platforms.
• Experience supporting enterprise data platforms, analytics programs, reporting solutions, AI-enabled initiatives, or data stewardship programs.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms, governance frameworks, and data-as-a-product principles.
