Product Manager - Data Platform (Fintech)

Location: US - Foster City, CA; hybrid position requiring at least three days in the office each week

Salary: $146,200–$233,700 USD per year, with potential bonus, equity, and sales incentive payments where applicable.

What you will do

• Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for Master Data Platform capabilities.
• Translate business requirements into product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans.
• Own and prioritize the product backlog while balancing business value, customer needs, technical dependencies, and scalability.
• Partner with engineering and architecture teams to deliver capabilities for master data creation, matching, enrichment, management, and consumption.
• Define API, integration, data service, developer documentation, and Swagger/OpenAPI requirements.
• Drive Agile delivery, product launches, onboarding, adoption, success metrics, and continuous improvement across global teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience with an advanced degree or PhD.
• Experience in product management, business analysis, data management, or platform delivery in technology, data, payments, or financial services.
• Strong understanding of Master Data Management, data governance, data quality, metadata management, and data lifecycle principles.
• Experience defining enterprise data platform roadmaps, translating complex business and regulatory needs into scalable capabilities, and managing competing priorities.
• Experience with APIs, data services, event-driven architectures, and Swagger/OpenAPI documentation.
• Experience with Agile product development, backlog management, sprint planning, release management, product KPIs, adoption metrics, and data quality measures.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of payment processing, financial services, risk, merchant, customer, or reference data domains.
• Experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Data Product Manager supporting master data, reference data, metadata, governance, or data platform initiatives.
