Product Management Analyst (Data Platform & Governance)

Location: Remote within the United States; candidates in the DMV area are preferred. Willingness to travel approximately 10–25% is required.

Salary: $85,093–$88,550 annually, depending on experience, geographic location, and contractual considerations.

What you will do

• Own the vision, roadmap, prioritization, and backlog for data products including datasets, pipelines, quality rules, and dashboards.
• Translate stakeholder needs into epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release plans.
• Define and monitor metrics covering adoption, data quality, SLA compliance, performance, and value realization.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and partner with Scrum Masters and technical leads to support predictable delivery.
• Use SQL to validate datasets, reconcile discrepancies, troubleshoot data issues, and support product decisions.
• Work with governance teams and data engineers on metadata, lineage, stewardship workflows, schemas, orchestration, scalability, reliability, and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 3 years of product management experience delivering data-centric products.
• Strong SQL proficiency for data validation, reconciliation, troubleshooting, and analysis.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum product management, including backlog management, sprint planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Strong understanding of data governance concepts including metadata, lineage, stewardship, data quality, standards, and certification.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, prioritization, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Collibra or another enterprise data catalog platform.
• Exposure to AWS or Azure, data lakes or warehouses, and orchestration tools.
• Experience working with data engineers, architects, analysts, or data scientists.
• Background supporting federal, healthcare, or other enterprise-scale data programs.
