Part-Time Clinical Nursing Instructor

Location: Arlington, VA, USA; in-person teaching at assigned clinical locations in the Arlington area.

Compensation: $75 per hour

What you will do

• Mentor Bachelor of Science in Nursing students in inpatient and outpatient clinical settings.
• Plan clinical experiences and provide direct supervision, instruction, and competency evaluations.
• Create clinical assignments, assess student performance, and provide documented feedback and remediation.
• Coordinate with clinical-site personnel on policies, procedures, expectations, and student or agency concerns.
• Support simulation, skills-lab, and supervised didactic teaching when assigned.
• Contribute to program development, assessment activities, retention efforts, regulatory compliance, and student support.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered professional nursing license in Virginia required.
• At least two years of registered-nurse experience within the past five years in the area of instruction.
• Must live within reasonable proximity to Arlington, VA and teach at assigned clinical locations.
• Strong nursing subject-matter expertise and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for nursing education, lifelong learning, and supporting students and colleagues.

Nice to have

• Teaching or precepting experience.
• Completed Master of Science in Nursing degree.
