Vocational Nursing Instructor - Part Time

Location: Fremont, CA, USA; campus-based position

Hourly compensation: $50–$60 per hour

What you will do

• Teach vocational nursing lecture content and clinical rotations across weekdays, evenings, and weekends as program needs require.
• Improve instructional quality by applying innovative teaching methodologies and online learning activities.
• Review and revise course syllabi and instructional guidelines.
• Maintain attendance, grades, skills check-off forms, student files, and program data.
• Submit program reports and forms on schedule and participate in assigned committees.
• Stay current with nursing practice, technologies, safety regulations, licensure, continuing education, and college updates.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse license in the state where teaching takes place.
• Three years of bedside experience with RN/BSN, or six years of bedside experience with LVN/associate degree.
• Ability to meet faculty requirements established by the Board of Vocational Nursing.
• Current knowledge and experience in clinical nursing practice, with the ability to mentor students in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.
• Current immunizations and Basic Life Support certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently.
