VN Instructor - Part-Time Clinical

Location: Bakersfield, California, USA; campus-based position with teaching at various times and locations as required, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends.

Salary: USD 46–60 per hour (typical hiring range is USD 45–52.80 per hour).

What you will do

• Teach lecture content and clinical rotations for the LVN program.
• Mentor students in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.
• Use innovative teaching methods and online activities to enhance course content.
• Review and revise course syllabi and instructional guidelines.
• Maintain attendance, grades, skills check-off forms, student files, and clinical requirement records.
• Submit program reports, participate in committees, and maintain current nursing practice, safety, technology, and licensure knowledge.

Requirements

• Current RN or LVN licensure in the state where teaching takes place.
• RN/BSN candidates: 3 years of bedside experience.
• LVN/Associate degree candidates: 6 years of bedside experience.
• Current knowledge and experience in a clinical nursing setting, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Weekend availability is required.
• Ability to work independently and teach across classroom, laboratory, and clinical environments.

Nice to have

• Current immunizations.
• Basic Life Support certification or ACLS.
