Engineering Technician II (Electro-Mechanical)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; onsite work involving manufacturing equipment and cleanroom environments

Salary: $21.50–$29.20

What you will do

• Perform routine to moderately complex design, testing, checkout, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting, and assembly of electronic and electro-mechanical systems.
• Test and troubleshoot system-level and component-level electrical and mechanical problems.
• Support new system and NPI installations, field upgrades, and rework resulting from testing.
• Conduct mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing on hirify.global platforms.
• Work from schematics, diagrams, layouts, plans, and written or verbal descriptions.
• Maintain logbooks and test-procedure documentation and generate Quality Notifications.

Requirements

• Analytical skills and the ability to apply scientific methods to technical activities.
• Ability to recognize and solve typical problems using established procedures or scientific methods.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and operate heavy machinery, including forklifts.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including extended standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and lifting.
• Ability to work in cleanroom conditions and use required personal protective equipment.
• Ability to distinguish colors and work in environments with potentially high noise levels.
