TL;DR

What you will do
- Set up and operate CNC and other machine tools to complete machining operations within equipment capacity.
- Interpret prints, sketches, tapes, and instructions to determine operation sequences, dimensions, tolerances, tooling, workholding, feeds, and speeds.
- Adjust machines for efficient machining and use precision instruments, gauges, and measuring devices to verify finished parts.
- Pre-set and sharpen cutting tools, deburr parts, break edges, and maintain part identification.
- Identify improper machine functions, take corrective action, and report discrepancies or equipment damage.
- Replenish coolant, change accessible filters, lubricate machines, and remove way covers for inspection.
Requirements
- Trade school certificate, associate degree in Machine Technology, or high school diploma/GED.
- At least 2 years of experience setting up and operating CNC machines.
- Knowledge of calipers, bore micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision gauges.
- Ability to read blueprints, interpret datum lines and tolerances, and apply GD&T.
- Knowledge of measuring devices and advanced shop mathematics.
- Must be willing to work any shift and overtime as needed.
