CNC Machine Operator

Location: Round Rock, Texas, United States — onsite. Candidates must be a U.S. Person due to the nature of work at the site and may be subject to additional security screening for export-controlled information.

Salary: $26.00–$35.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Set up, tear down, and operate manual, numerically controlled, and computerized machine shop equipment.
• Manufacture precision metal parts and tools using mills, lathes, drill presses, CNC machining centers, and CNC lathes.
• Prove out CNC programs and make tool offsets and machining adjustments.
• Read blueprints, process sheets, sketches, and verbal instructions to complete production work.
• Perform first-article and dimensional inspections using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other manual gauges.
• Perform minor equipment repairs, scheduled maintenance, and housekeeping while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements

• U.S. Person status is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience operating CNC machines, including vertical or horizontal machining centers and/or CNC lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and drawings and inspect parts against dimensional requirements.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Availability for overtime, off-shift hours, and weekends as required.

Nice to have

• Experience performing mathematical and geometrical calculations for machining operations.
• Experience troubleshooting machining operations and performing minor equipment repairs.
