Electric Transmission Line Siting Senior Project Manager

Location: Full-time onsite role in Glen Allen, Richmond, or Vienna, Virginia, United States

Salary: $155,064–$221,520 in Vienna, VA; $129,220–$184,600 in Glen Allen/Richmond, VA

What you will do

• Lead electric transmission routing and siting projects and develop buildable solutions.
• Provide technical leadership across larger and more complex multidisciplinary projects.
• Prepare technical documents, regulatory applications, proposals, scopes of work, budgets, and schedules.
• Support permitting and regulatory approvals with state utility agencies and system operators.
• Manage multiple time-sensitive projects and resolve issues through completion.
• Coordinate effectively with design and construction teams, clients, and project stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental planning, environmental science, community planning, engineering, landscape architecture, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of related experience, including a minimum of 5 years in project management.
• At least 8 years of experience writing proposals and developing scopes, budgets, and schedules for complex environmental projects.
• Experience with linear projects involving land acquisition, routing, or environmental planning.
• Knowledge of permit requirements and experience preparing applications for state utility regulatory agencies and system operators.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, research, written, and verbal communication skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office, estimating, scheduling, and project management software.

• Experience preparing and providing expert witness testimony.
• Local candidacy in the Virginia locations is preferred.
