Insurance Wordings Lawyer (H/F/X)

Location: Courbevoie, France; team members are expected to be primarily in the office

What you will do

• Draft and develop new and updated proprietary insurance products, policies, and endorsements across product lines and jurisdictions.
• Advise underwriting leadership on policy adoption, product development, governance guidelines, and authorities.
• Analyze broker and competitor forms and develop hirify.global-preferred wordings for client-specific exposures.
• Collaborate with legal, underwriting, claims, actuarial, reinsurance, and coverage litigation teams on regulatory issues and exposure trends.
• Drive remediation and lifecycle management of policies and endorsements, including repository development.
• Provide wording training and advise on AI-enabled tools for policy wording management and governance.

Requirements

• Legal degree and qualification; entitlement to practice is preferred.
• Fluent business English and fluent business French and/or Spanish are required.
• Experience advising senior stakeholders on complex reinsurance and insurance wording, coverage, and transactional matters.
• Drafting experience gained at an insurer, reinsurer, broker, or law firm.
• Strong prioritization, communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills in a fast-paced environment.
